LOBA POETRY SERIES
Monthly Poet Features & Open Mic

Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the third Saturdays of each month at 3 p.m. This free event is open to both teens and adults. All are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others. On December 21 we welcome Caroline Goodwin.
Caroline Goodwin moved to the San Francisco Bay Area from Sitka, Alaska in 1999 to attend Stanford as a Wallace Stegner Fellow in poetry. Her recent books are “Old Snow, White Sun,” “Madrigals,” and “Matanuska.” She teaches at California College of the Arts, Stanford Continuing Studies, and UC Berkeley Extension. From 2014-16 she served as the first Poet Laureate of San Mateo County where she lives on the coast with her two pugs, Jimi Hendrix and Lyric.

Únase al personal de la biblioteca de Ukiah mientras organizamos eventos de poesía en persona el tercer sábado de casa mes.a las 3:00 p.m. Este evento gratuito está abierto para adolescentes y adultos: todos están invitados a compartir poemas en cualquier forma o estilo, o simplemente escuchar a otros. El 21 de diciembre de 2024 damos la bienvenida a Caroline Goodwin.
Caroline Goodwin se mudó de Sitka, Alaska, al área de la Bahía de San Francisco en 1999 para asistir a Stanford como becaria Wallace Stegner en poesía. Sus libros más recientes son Old Snow, White Sun (JackLeg Press), Madrigals (Big Yes Press) y Matanuska (Aquifer Press, Gales, Reino Unido). Enseña en el California College of the Arts, Stanford Continuing Studies y UC Berkeley Extension; de 2014 a 2016 fue la primera poeta laureada del condado de San Mateo, donde vive en la costa con sus dos perros carlinos, Jimi Hendrix y Lyric.
