30th Annual Nome Cult Walk, a Presentation

There will be a presentation about the 30th annual Nome Cult Walk on Friday, August 22, from 3-4 PM in the Library’s Community Room.

Kyle Miller and Charlotte Bauer will share their experience as walkers and will teach us about the significance of this year's remembrance walk.

The presentation will raise your awareness of local history, including the 1863 forced relocation of Maidu and other native California groups; bring attention to safety concerns for this year's walkers, and provide guidelines for those who want to help or observe.

This interactive presentation will take place at 3 PM on Friday, August 22nd, in the Community Room and will include a screening of the short film, California's Trail of Tears: Nome Cult Walk.
