Documentary Film Series
Second Fridays
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

In this moving and thought-provoking documentary, economist and former U.S. Labor Secretary Robert Reich steps into the lecture hall one last time to teach his celebrated course Wealth & Poverty. Blending humor, insight, and heartfelt reflection, the film captures Reich’s final semester at UC Berkeley and his enduring belief in education as a force for social change. The Last Class offers an inspiring look at a teacher, a legacy, and the generations he’s challenged to build a fairer world.

The Documentary Film Series runs from winter through spring.  Films usually show the second Friday of the month fall through spring, at 7 p.m., in the Community Room at the Library Commons.  Our ongoing series features award-winning films that explore sustainability, social justice, environmental challenges, and stories of hope and resilience from around the world. Our goal is to spark dialogue, deepen understanding, and build a more informed, connected community.
