“Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read…Banned Books Week spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools and brings together the entire book community to support the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.” This year, Banned Books Week runs from September 18th to September 24th, and the Ukiah Branch Library will be hosting a Pop-Up Crafting Zone on Wednesday, September 21st between 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Come to the Ukiah Branch Library and join in shared support of the freedom to read by making Banned Book Cover magnets, Banned Book Cover Earrings, and Banned Book pins. The magnets and pins crafts are for all ages, and the book cover earrings are for tweens and teens.
